Hotels/ Accomodations

I will be updating this as I get more information. But for those of you who are really on the ball, I wanted to go ahead & post what I have. This has turned out to be one of the more frustrating parts of planning. Myrtle Beach is a tourist town - and because we're getting married the week after Easter (aka - Spring Break) hotels are not being quite as flexible for us. However the one we do have locked in is below. If you or your other half are in the wedding, this is a good spot. It's on the waterway, and inside the gates of Grande Dunes - where the rehearsal dinner is being held. (and it's just 3 miles from the reception) They have one, 2 & 3 bedrooms options. They are offering us a 20% discount. So book as soon as you want, just make sure you mention our name (Reardon/ Gunn wedding)

Again - use the web site to check it out, but call for reservations so you can mention the wedding & get a better rate. This hotel is offering a special rate of $189/ nt. It's a little more than Marina Inn, but it's ocean front & also has a spa. It's about the same distance from the reception. (3 miles). **This rate is only good through Feb. 9!!!**

Just a Heads Up

Jerry and I have decide we want a kid-free wedding. I hope this doesn't offend anyone. We love your kids!! But we know everyone will have a better time if you leave them at home. The wedding is at 6pm, and the reception will go on long past their bed times! There will be a few little people; but only immediate family who are part of the wedding party. However, we don't want this to keep people from making the trip - so if you can't make other arrangements for the whole weekend, please let me know. We will do our best to find child care for you during the wedding & reception.

The Proposal

Graycliff - Nassau, The Bahamas

So Jerry and went on our "annual" (sometimes semi-annual) trip to the Bahamas. We decided to eat at Graycliff, as usual, at least one night. It's the only 5 star restaurant in all of the Bahama Islands. Set in an historic mansion, and among a lush garden and pool setting - it is definitely top notch.

It was there he proposed, and I obviously said YES :)

We are SO excited, and the planning has already begun. I will be updating people on plans and things you need to know here. So check in often!
